Samuel Faye, AKA Sam Faye, is a rapper and songwriter of Senegalese descent based in Montreal, actively contributing to the Quebec hip-hop scene for over 20 years through various projects and events. You may know him as a member of the duo Apocalypse, under the alias Kalibre, for his collaboration with D-Track, or as part of the hip-hop, jazz, and funk collective GPE, where he was an MC. He has also been involved with Petite Papa.
Sam Faye has performed at some of Montreal’s most iconic venues, including Foufounes Électriques, Les Bobards, Club Balatou, Bleury Bar, and Bootlegger, as well as larger stages like MTelus (formerly Métropolis), where he opened for Oxmo Puccino.
In 2016, he compiled a collection of unreleased songs and launched the project “+” under the name Sam Faye for the first time. In 2018, he reached the semi-finals of Les Francouvertes, which led to the opportunity to represent Quebec on a three-week tour in China alongside D-Track and DJ Eazy EL Dee.
Recognized in the Quebec hip-hop scene for his MC skills, contagious energy, and sharp lyricism, Sam Faye caught the attention of Hell for Breakfast, who eagerly released his albums “Escales” (2021) and “Des arbres et des avions” (2022). Since the release of Escales, he performed at CRANIUM Festival, marking the first time a French rap artist was featured in the festival’s history. He also performed at the Festival international de la chanson de Granby (FICG) and opened for Lary Kidd in December 2021.
In 2022, Sam Faye launched his second album, Des arbres et des avions, with a sold-out show at Quai des Brumes, just weeks after performing at Université Laval’s back-to-school event with Rouge Pompier. That same year, his album was nominated for "Hip-Hop Album of the Year" at GAMIQ 2022. His latest release has led to invitations to showcases such as Contact Ouest and Festival en chanson de Petite-Vallée, as well as a performance at Les Francos de Montréal. He was also selected for international showcases at Les Francofolies de Spa and Les Québecofolies in Europe.

A true veteran MC, David Dufour aka D-Track has an impressive track record, accumulating some 15 years of work in the hip-hop scene, nearly eight albums/EPs and 2 collections of essais. The artist was nominated in 2016 at the ADISQ gala for the hip hop album of the year with his opus "Message texte à Nelligan" and in 2019 and 2022 at the GAMIQ this time for the rap album of the year with "Dieu est un Yankee" and "Hull". He also had the opportunity to make a tour of shows in China in 2018 in addition to performing around the world, including Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia.
Known primarily for his penmanship, authenticity and freestyle talent, the Gatineau hip-hop artist has also distinguished himself on the slam scene by participating in multiple international competitions. His performances will allow him to win the title of Quebec slam champion in 2013 and to place 4th at the World Cup in Paris in 2014.
After a notable appearance on the Télé-Québec show La fin des faibles in the winter of 2021, D-Track will be back in force on November 5th with "Hull", a new album entirely produced by Nicholas Craven.
Today, he returns with his fifth career studio album, an ode to his environment. "Territoiredelours" is available everywhere!
